The “four-day erection” phrase comes from the crane’s owner. It’s industry jargon.

In the video you can watch a giant telescopic crane, together with the iron workers from Local 1, assemble a tower crane more than 200 feet in height with working and counter jibs that span more than 300 feet in width.

The tower crane will be the main engine for building K2 at K Station, a 34-story luxury apartment building at 365 N Halsted St in Chicago’s Fulton River District.
